PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 20 September 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Goboard collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information in connection with its website creation, hosting and management services.

Goboard is operated by Samuel Thomson, ABN 11 798 622 982, in New South Wales, Australia.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Goboard, we may collect information including your name, business name, industry, email address, phone number, website and business information, information you submit through Goboard, and communications or enquiries you send to us.

Payments and subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Goboard may receive information about your Stripe customer, subscription and payment status. Payment card details are handled by Stripe rather than being directly processed by Goboard.

3. How we use information

We use information to create, host and manage customer websites; administer subscriptions and customer relationships; respond to enquiries and support requests; provide and improve Goboard; maintain security; and meet legal and administrative requirements.

Goboard does not currently use customer contact information to send promotional marketing emails.

4. Customer website enquiries

Websites hosted or managed through Goboard may allow visitors to submit enquiries. Goboard may process those enquiries so they can be delivered or forwarded to the relevant Goboard customer.

Information submitted through a customer website should only be used by the customer for appropriate business and enquiry management purposes.

5. Service providers

Goboard uses third-party providers to operate the service. These currently include Stripe for payments and subscriptions, Vercel for hosting and infrastructure, Supabase for database and storage services, OpenAI for artificial intelligence functionality, and Resend for email delivery.

Information may be processed by these providers where reasonably necessary to provide their services to Goboard. Their handling of information is also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Artificial intelligence

Goboard uses artificial intelligence as part of its website creation and management functionality. Business information and other relevant content may be processed using AI services where necessary to provide those features.

Customers should avoid providing unnecessary sensitive personal information for AI processing.

7. Storage and security

Goboard takes reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

Because Goboard uses third-party technology providers, information may be stored or processed using infrastructure located outside Australia.

8. Retention and deletion

When a Goboard website service ends, customer website data and ordinary service data may be deleted after seven days.

Some information may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for billing, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, fraud prevention or legitimate record-keeping purposes.

9. Access and correction

You may contact Goboard if you want to request access to personal information Goboard holds about you or ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. Whether and how a request can be fulfilled may depend on applicable law and legitimate record-keeping requirements.

10. Privacy questions and complaints

If you have a question, concern or complaint about how Goboard handles personal information, contact us and we will review the matter.

11. Changes to this policy

Goboard may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The current version will be published on the Goboard website with its latest update date.
